I just don't see how Ranes and other like models are an advantage, aside from if you're a club owner and want a long-lasting mixer in your booth. With all those on-board FX, it's wonderful spinning a set. ![]() However, you simply can't top the DJ mixing features that the DJM-600 provides. What everyone else is saying about the sound quality is true - Rane and Allen & Heath models indeed put out better sound quality, as they have better parts inside, and are built to last twice as long as the Pioneer models. The EQ drops on the channel faders are 26 dB, which is a wonderful frequency kill. I feel like its a conspiricy against DJ's sometimes.If you are serious about the PIONEER.Look for the 600 limited edition, I found it really nice to work with.Tascam is a company I would check out also, the XS-9 is real smooth to mix on! Very distorted when clipping more then one or two red led's.and the mains never give us enough headroom. ![]() Would say 80 gigs are 500/600 equipt.the mixers do not seem to be as sturdy as a RANE. the Pioneer 600 is very popular.100 gigs a year, I ![]() I own the 3000 now, but I do have issues with the Pioneer.first these mixers are built for the CD units that Pioneer makes.for some reason there is alwaysĪ problem of some sort when I turn up at a gig.In the U.S. ![]()
